Ride it or atleast have him test it out before you put down any amount of money

Pics are kinda small, but it looks like it's been dropped more then once... and at speed.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I would have to say he is full of poo poo if he said he didn't try to start it... who would wreck their bike and not even try to start it after picking it up or getting it home?

My concern would be that the front is straight. Also if it fell on the left side, check around the gear shift lever see if that works ok (tranny shifts).

Make sure it starts. If the guy is selling for $700 for cosmetic damage, I'd be real suspicious. Take a mech or bike savy friend with you if you can.

yeah i have a friend that i hope will be able to go with me that has owned bikes for awhile. and he said the reason he is selling it so low is that he is about to move and will not have no where to store the bike. yeah i think that is kind of crazy to that he said he hasn't even tried to start it after he put it down. you guys think it would start up after sitting for awhile even with out the crabs cleaned? it would atleast run for alittle while wouldn't it? thanks and keep letting me know what you guys think about it cause this will be my first bike

if it has been sitting for a while, the battery may need to be recharged.

part of the radiator has been ground off.

offer him a max of about $300 and see if he bites. your going to have to put a lot of money into this bike IF the frame isn't trashed. at least with the $300 your only out that much if the bike has to be junked.

Since the crabs live in water I see very little reason to clean them.
