Hello all,

I have just found this board and wow there is alot of great info here.

I am 37 and have been driving a Yamaha 50cc BW scooter this summer and got the itch for a real bike. I take my Safety course next week and at the end Ill get a license that allows me to ride bikes upto 550CC.

So, next spring Im looking at getting my first street bike and Im leaning towards the Hyosung GT 250 Comet.

Im looking forward to meeting others in the area that ride but Im sure my 7 yr old son and I will have alot of fun doubling up on the Comet, hehe.

Hello again all

Welcome to the board. Where bouts in the Maritimes are you located? Guessing New Brunswick??? My wife and I love going to St. Andrews. Each and everytime we go. We make a point of doing a whale watching tour on the "Cory" through Passanaquoddy Bay. GRand Manan Channel and of course the Bay of Fundy. Just absolutely breath taking.

Good luck on your course.

Heya,

Yes I do live in New Brunswick. Moncton NewBrunswick to be specific. St Andrews is beautiful I love that area.

As for the licenses it is broken up in two. The regular is up to a 550cc bike and the other license is for any size bike. I think Im just gonna start small with a 250. I drive mostly in town and a 250 will be ok Im sure for the occasional 3 hr bike ride.

Im leaning towards getting a hyosung Gt 250 comet. I love the look and set up of them. They also have cool instrumentation, a big tank (17L) and they have a 2 yr warranty.

talk to you all soon
