My Bike Plan

#1 Unread post by JDawg117 »

I'm 16, and a couple long years away from my first bike. I already know I'm gonna get a starter bike that's < 600cc. My plan is to start on a crotch-rocket (Ninja 250 or something like it), then move to a more versatile bike, one that I can put saddle-bags on and can make runs to/from the grocery on. Then maybe, once I'm older, get a nice cruiser, a good Harley.

Does this sound like a stable bike plan? Should I revise my thinking? What kind of bikes would you recommend?

Thanks for any help.

sounds ok... you might change your views later, but that's cool.

if you want a newbie sportbike... try the hyosung GT250R.

if you like sporty looking bikes... go for the ninja250, 500 or GS500F.

Can you get the GTR in North America?

The ninja 250 is a great first bike. If you're looking for a cruiser style that's similar try the LS650 (c40 now) from Suzuki.

Or if you live in Canada get a ZZR250 - looks like a 750cc bike to me.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
