I am in the process of tearing apart and refoaming my seat on my 1971 Honda CB750 and I have it just about stripped down to the seat pan but some of the old foam is stuck with glue that's ooohhhh...about 35 years old.

Anyone know of something that will take it off? I'm not to worried about damaging the finish on the metal at the moment. That's going to be repainted anyway.

I've used Goo Gone or Goo Off on adhesives and they work really well. I'm not sure how they'd work on 35 year old glue, but it's worth a shot. You can find the stuff at Lowes, Home Depot or the like.
