Hey, fellow Road Pilots!
Have any of you invested in any anti-theft countermeasures to protect your bike from thieves?

I use a disc lock like this one:
But usually only when I go to the city. There's little risk of theft where I live. My bike is usually not the most desireable model for theives, either.

You need to hire a new lot, Matt. Those guys wouldn't be able to see anyone taking your bike anyway. Their helmets are pulled over their eyes!

Those guys are great, but not worth the money, when you dont have your new bike yet. You still have time to come up with a better line of defense.

When my wife and I are travelling we use a cable lock to fasten the bikes together. Then I use another to anchor to a pole or something secure.
At home the bikes live in my attached garage. This also happens to be about 4 feet from where my rottweiller sleeps. Light sleeper he is.
Now it I can just figure out how to get him to ride pillion ....
