Just buying first bike today in Lexington, Ky

Hi all, I am MJ from KY. I stumbled on this awesome forum last week, and knew I had to join. Although I have submitted a couple of posts in the Ladies' Lounge, I thought I should pop over here to introduce myself.
I currently own a Suzuki AN400K5 - a Burgman 400. Although classified by the county clerk, insurance carrier and owner's manual as a motorcycle, it has an automatic transmission and step-through design. I received my motorcycle license in June 2005 and have been riding the Burgie ever since. However, I wanted to learn to ride a manual bike in order to increase my options for riding.
This afternoon, I am meeting the 2nd owner of a 1996 Honda CMX250C at the local courthouse to transfer title into my name
The bike has a little rust on the chrome (hopefully some cleaning/polish will take care of this), but the paint is in great shape, new tires and runs super. Since I have not ridden a manual before, the seller is trailoring it 25 miles to my house. I can hardly wait to get started learning the shifting/clutching thing. I have the MSF in 2 weeks where I am sure to learn a great deal of useful information.
See you all on the Boards
Thanks for having this great forum for riders!!!
