Got a slight problem, just wondering if its something Im over looking beforer I call the shop.

I brought my bike in for its 1st service, was running great before this. now when I start the bike, put up the kickstand and click it into 1st, it stalls. every time. it starts up fine, and shifts into first fine, and drives off fine.

Any thoughts? I know they adjusted and lubed the cables during service, and the clutch now seems a little loose (shifting down isnt as easy or as smooth as it was either)

Could be they adjusted the clutch improperly and now it's not disengaging like it should. That would account for it stalling when you put it into first gear. Does it try to lurch forward when you put it in first gear at a dead stop ? Also did you notice if they set the idle down lower than normal ?

a little lurch when shifting into 1st. When I restart the engine, I usually pull the clutch and start it from 1st..... That does sound like it could be the problem...quick! to the shop!

Does this happen all the time or just when the engine is cold-ish, like the first launch of the day? Or does it happen even when it's fully up to temp? It's not uncommon for the clutch to grab slightly when cold.

It sounds like a combination of mis-adjusted clutch and lowered idle to me as well.
