okay so ill admit i am brand new to riding a motorcycle. I just bought a 1995 Kawasaki Vulcan 88 1500ccs. It did not come with the manual and i have not purchased a book on it yet. So before I go off and ride and possibility blow my engine where in the world do you check the oil on this bike?

next question is it cheaper to buy a rear tire off the internet then purchasing it at the store?

I can't say for sure about the oil, but there is either a window on the right side, down low. You can only see the oil level if the bike is upright. Or, there is a dip-stick, also on he right side.

As for tires... who will mount the tire if you purchase it off the internet, and how much will it cost?

It may cost the same in the end if you have to pay shop rates to have the tire mounted.

Check around to see who can mount your tires. Some shops will do this for free if you buy from them which puts them on par with ordering online. Others charge you regardless and some give you a discounted rate if you order from them. Be careful of shipping which can add up to getting a tire locally.

Also- some shops have the tires you want in stock and can get you in and out in under an hour which may be worth an extra $60. I don't know.

Screw in the side of my rear tire this summer cost me $160. to replace tire at dealers, I took it off myself could not blance wheel but well be able to next time. A friend replaced his rear tire on a Honda 900 bought on line $135.00 but he put it on, dealer wanted another $30. to just mount the tire on the rim not on the bike.
