It happend just like you all said it would happen, i dropped my bike. (Very, very, very stoopidly to) I was coming in for the night after riding most of the day and I came up and put the bike in neutral and turned it off, usually I put the kick stand down BUT this time nooooo I totally forgot. So as I am reassuring myself the kick stands down.. I go ahead and start to lay it over and I quickly start relizing that .. what? its not down! !@#$ as I fall to the cement with my bike. Some how my front turn signals arent damaged at all.. and they stick out like crazy and I figured that would be the first thing to bust off. Second I thought it was going to be the mirror, that didnt break either (thankfully) turns out all that broke was the tip of my clutch lever and kinda/sorta scratched a little peice of the bottom half (I dont know what its called) round thing in front of my gear changer. Soo im laying on the cement with the bike on top of my leg (thanks to everyone who told me I should get some boots) I had my work shoes on.. nothing special about them but they are tredsafe so they dont slip on just about anything but grease. I usually were this cheap 10 dollar shoes from wal-mart (they velcro

). Ok so anyways im laying there with the bike on my legs, trying to get it off and I read some where on here that you want to put your right leg under the gas tank or somewhere around there to get some extra leverage. So I did that and got the bike up with MUCH adrenaline pumping throughout my body. Looked at the damage and thought to my self.. stupid, stupid, stupid.
bahhhh cant believe I dropped it over something so dumb!
oh well, glad i dropped it now and while im still getting comfortable with my bike than rather on a brand new 8,000 dollar bike or something.
then I would of probably killed my self.

Pshh, yeah I was meeting some friends at Dairy Queen, and this van obviously didnt see me and I was watching my mirror's and I could see the van and I was starting to freak out cause it wasnt slowing down or anything but by the time she must of saw me, it was to late. She swerved to the right and I heard a screeeech and she went around me. Looked like she was on her cell phone to.
asdfghjkl idiots.

Yah, it happens. Welcome to the club. We used to have concessions but someone forgot to fold out the other table leg and they all slid onto the floor.

When I dropped/slow speed crashed my bike my left leg was pinned under the side and I have no idea how I managed to pick up the bike. The bike weighs about 550lbs and I just grabbed it by the handlebars and even with just one leg, up it came. It must have been the adrenaline because I don't see my 150lbs self doing that on in a regular situation.
Glad you're not hurt and neither is your bike. Best of luck in the future.

I know
exactly what you mean. I weigh maybe 130? haha and yeah I must of had every ounce of adrenaline pumping because I braught it up pretty quick and just a little while ago I noticed the scrapes on my arm.
Gotta love adrenaline

heh, glad your ok and the bikes relatively fine. I did the same thing in our garage except I fell over onto DHs bke, so I go quashed between the two. DH was there to stand it back up since I still had a leg over the seat.
Nice thing hopefully is I won't (knock on wood!) ever forget the kickstand again.

Glad you're OK. That's one thing that worries me... dropping my bike. Those things seem to happen just when you are least expecting it.

Perhaps maybe start killing the engine with the kickstand like us crazy rebellious types do.
