Beginner from hawaii

Hello everyone. I juat got my permit and im looking for a good beginner bike. I have my eyes on the kawasaki ninja 500 and the suzuki gs500. Which one do you think is better?

Welcome aboard! If you check around in the "New Bikers" forums, you'll find lots of opinions on starter bikes, including the ones in which you're interested. I have no experience on either, but others can give you some info. Enjoy the forums!

fact: the ninja 500 has a little more power.


opinions: the GS500 looks way better. yes, even the E version. in fact, i'd rather pick the E over the F version.

Hi everyone, i decided to go with the kawasaki 500, but the dealer said he wants $6000 for it and its only a 06. The new 07 models have a MSRP of $5000. Do you think it's worth it?

In continental USA the price of a 07 is $ 5000, but maybe because you are in Hawaii, it cost more.......

Here in Mexico the bikes cost one or two thousands more than USA, because the taxes and customs...

Is there only one dealer o you have choices ?

Here on Kauai there is only one dealer so I don't have a choice. There is ver few used bikes for sale also.
