Whats up
I'm Cj and im a musician. I love Jamming and hanging out with my band mates. Im on the verge of purchasing my first bike. It's a Honda Rebel 250 and its in prefect condition. I'm about to get my Restristed Acess Lisence and begin the journey on the open road, so to speak. I've always dreamed about getting my own bike but i nevr thought i'd see it at age 18. I can't wait to get my bike and start learning, being a first time rider and all, and hopfully upgrade in a while. Cool site you guys have here can't wait to get some photos and show me first freking bike to everyone. Hope to here back and maybe here some first bike experiences.

Two things:

1) TAKE THE MSF BASIC RIDER COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

2) Don't buy a Rebel. If you want a cruiser, get something with a 500-750cc engine.

3) TAKE THE MSF BASIC RIDER COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, in a couple of months, you'll laugh at yourself for dividing bikes into "ninja" and "harley," but for now that's OK.

:welcome: Stick around and you can learn a lot here.

Taking the motorcycle course is a must. It will be money well spent.

And...if you want a Honda rebel 250, then go for it and enjoy it. It will serve you well for a while and be more economical and cost less for insurance than a bigger bike.
It will be lightweight and nimble for getting around the city.

If you do more than 45mph the honda rebel will be "lacking" in the "get up and go" department. hell my honda shadow deluxe vlx is 600CC (actually 650 as its got a couple mods) is lacking in the "getup and go" after about 55mph but thats most ly cause its a 4 speed lol.

as everyone said welcome to the forums and take the basic MSF course :D. The MSF course has bikes like the Honda rebel 250. that course is the reason I went with a 600cc bike rather than a 250cc. now im talking cruisers not sportsbikes. Thats a whole nother story when you talking about a 600cc sportbike over a 250cc sportbike.

oh and listen to nothign moto150 has to say :D.
