I regret to have to say goodbye to what was once a very enjoyable forum. I can see that the opinion of members on this forum are not valued and our concerns about the quality of them are also not taken seriously. If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, I don't dislike Verm. I do dislike the way he single handedly has reduce them to a total pile of non stop drivel.

I will miss the people I have come to call friends here.

You do realize that if you leave, then you have let that person win. I'm a relatively new member, but I'm sure you're opinion and experience add to the forum as a whole.

I'm unsure why the ignorable actions of 1 person results in this kind of post, but I've seen it happen on more than 1 message board, and it never affects any positive change, bear that in mind.

Sadly, Doc you won't be the last rider with a lot to offer to make this decision. Perhaps it will eventually be noticed when the only responses to motorcycle specific questions from new riders will be met with "I don't know" 's    's and links to youtube.

Sorry to see you go.

That would be an improvement over the misinformation that is given now.

So you're leaving because of Verm's posts? Or because Mike won't ban him for being an annoyance? Or because so many members respond to him, thus encouraging his annoying behavior?

Whatever the reason, it's a shame that you would let this eliminate your presence on the forums. You personally have provided much wit and wisdom, and your input would be missed. But I can understand that if you're not happy with the atmosphere, then it might cause you to lose interest. Do what you must, but you will be missed.

And remember - if you have complaints that only Mike can handle, then you can always PM him. He can at the least provide a reason for the "whys" of these forums.

Cheers,
Loonette

p.s. I've "left" the forums myself two times, so I really do understand. I came back once I was able to get things back into perspective. Sometimes a break is all that's needed. Just an idea.

Also, I went ahead and sent a PM to Mike because it really does pain me that so many members are becoming unhappy with this whole bunch of bananas. But again, you're welcome to contact Mike as well.

Cheers,
Loonette

I wouldn't leave man. Just take a break or sumpin' like Loonette said.

Also, if he bothers you, don't read his threads. It works for me. Part of the problem is everyone who is annoyed, has to post a reply to make their annoyance known, thus bumping the thread and a cycle is started that spirals out of control leading to 10 page threads about nothing.

I hope you don't go Doug on the account of one member. It would be a loss to millions of visitors who read and get help from your posts. I would also miss you so you can't leave.

I'll have a chat with Crimson Rider and see if I can help smooth things out with everyone. :D

I am quite taken back by your statement Doug as I and all my staff DO value all members concerns and we all work very hard indeed to make this a quality forum for everyone. Everyone's opinions are important and valued.

Don't forget when you have a large group, this one being over 8,000 people, you are bound to have people you don't like just because they don't click with your feelings, thoughts or style. It's natural. I'm not defending Crimson but just telling you that's how it is in real life and on the internet too. I do what I can do make everyone happy, but it's hard to do work with me everyone and try to get along. :D

Friendly, remember.... BE FRIENDLY or I'll cut your tounges off and feed them to the dogs of war! :P

Crimson: My advice try to post A LOT LESS but with A LOT MORE CONTENT. Quality Posts = GOOD posts, Quanity but no quality posts = BAD posts!

Mike.

I agree with you t_bonee, that's why I've moved this thread to the suggestion box and locked it up as it would spiral out of control. If anyone has an issue at anytime with anything on the forum, just PM me or any of our staff... we are all friendly and our door is always open to you.

Sorry to lock the thread up.

dr_bar, if you want to add something to this thread let me know by PM and I'll unlock it for you to do that and then lock it up right away.

Mike
