I found a '2000 Vulcan classic 800 in good/great shape and low miles.
Anyone know if this is a good and solid bike? If I do buy it, I need to change the exhaust and tires for sure. Unknown on clutch and brakes, I'll test drive on Monday.
I wanted some opinions on this bike in general and any known issues. Chain drive tensioner issues etc? At almost 8 years old what else should be checked out since rubber parts can rott, no matter how little its been used.
Oh, 4800 miles, and asking $3,700. Thanks for opinions.

No idea on price, but...
No idea on price, but Kawasakis are tough bikes. I had an '86 454 Ltd (now the Vulcan 500 Ltd.) which was tough as nails and easy to maintain. It still runs great, but I wanted a sportbike and gave it to my young brother-in-law.

Don't think of it as a stop light. Think of it as a chance-to-show-off light.

Kawasaki Vulcan 800s are solid bikes with a good reputation and with only 4800 miles on it the owner has ridden less than a thousand miles a year. I would examine the maintenance records. The owner should have had the bike in for at least 1 service checkup since the initial breakin check and changed the oil yearly.
If you like the bike but still have reservations, pay a mechanic to give it a test ride for you. The price shouldn't bee too much for a little extra peace of mind.
