1981 Yamaha xj650 maxim

#1 Unread post by Beer Runner »

Can a XJ650 be chopped or somewhat chopped and still look good? I guess what I realy need to know, is there a rigit frame for a bike with a shaft drive.
Or how about a site with this info on it? I just don't like the stock look, I want to make it my own. Now I know an SX looks good chopped, so how about this?
Thanks
BR

Anything is possible, with enough time and money. You could make it a rigid simply by replaceing the shocks with solid struts, or mounting them in a more layed-down postion.

Can it be made to look good? That's entirely up to the person. I think all choppers look terrible. But if you like them, there's only fear and common sense stopping you.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Yup that's it, I took a goooood look at it and solid struts is the way to go on this bike. The seat will be done on Wed of this week. New bars and the rest will work.
