when i bought her she had been layed down, the carbs were all gunked up, the tank was damaged on the right side and she was missing the battery cover.
spent a day rebuilding the carbs, relocated the front turn signals to beside the headlight, shortend and moved the rear turn signals to the seatbolt so the saddlebags would fit.
several hours spent massaging the tank, endless days spent looking for a sidecover and a trip to the paint store for the dark shadow blue paint, and the final product is a very nice ride. (atleast i think, but then again i'm bias) Image

Before and after pics are nice. Then you can reflect back and be proud of your accomplishment.

Looks great!

Just curious why you relocated the front turnsignals to the higher than stock position?

i can only guess but.... i think when the previous owner layed it down or crashed or whatever he did he had to replace the forks, headlight (i say this because the square light and lil aux. light is missing) and turn signals. he had fab up some bracket for the turnsignals for under the handlebars.i see in pictures they should be on the forks but mine dont allow this to happen so........off came the ugly brackets, and out with the drill and jigsaw. plus i think better visability.(for the cagers)

Very nicely done. That's about the era and engine size I'm looking for. So, what do you want for it? Just kidding. I need to find a beater and do what you did.
