I'm in the market for a new bike. I've narrowed my choices
to either:
Triumph Speed Triple 06-07 or a: 07
Buell Lightning SCG. I can't have both. Price wise, there about the same close enough.
I'm looking for something more of an everyday ride. So Cal. area.
asking @ a dealership they all say the same.
I need help! CHOICES CHOICES

Read the stickies, is this your first bike?
I'd take the speed triple between the two.

Speed Triple!!!
Although I'm biased, the 3 is a great bike and you cannot go wrong with a lady from across the pond.

In that case, I like the triumph's seating position better. It also has a better engine in my opinion. Most of the reviews I have read about the buell 1200's hasn't been favorable towards them.
I'd go sit on both until you make up your mind. People like different things, and only you can decide which one you like better.
Both of those bikes don't do well with slow speeds. They shake and sputter under 3000rpms. They just require some clutch slipping.
The buell has a narrower powerband, and some reviewers find it to be uncomfortable (I wasn't comfortable just sitting on one).

Buying a new bike especially a second one is something you shouldn't take opinions on. Go to the store and look around sit on bikes.
You'll find the right one sooner or later. Just because I think it'll be a comfy/good ride doesn't mean that you will. Not only are we built differently, we also have different goals in mind when it comes to what we want our bikes to do. The best thing you can possibly do is just to sit on every bike you can. The right one will stand out, and that'll be it.

I disagree, there are some bikes out there that have weird problems associated with them that you'd want to know about.
Going hypothetical. Say the buell wasn't the best ride but the Triple needed repairs every 2k miles and the repairs on the triple cost more... that would be a big selling point for me.

Good point.
I'm more interested in a better everyday ride.
I'll make either bike look good.
I've already testes a buell.
Are there any sites that give you Maintenance cost on bikes?
