Do I...

#1 Unread post by Kal »

My beloved has in pronciple agreed to me getting a new bike...

The big choice at the moment is between these three:

Image

1999 Honda CB500 44 thousand miles £600
She is okay with this. I've been borrowing Dukanmortis' CB the last couple of weeks and it keeps pushing me to behave like a hooligan!

Image

1996 Kawasaki GPz500s about 40 thousand miles £675
She isn't happy with this, but she should continue to talk with me. Itr will definately mean I ride like a hooligan but that will be with my 'Blade weilding hooligan friends.

Image

1988 Honda GB250 19 thousand miles Currently at £500
This is a bike we both like. It's certainly different and should keep me calm enough not to act like a complete hooligan.

I wasn't aware hooliganism was bike dependant ;)

44k miles is quite a bit... but I like the CB500 personally.

True, I had hooligan tendancies on the CeeGee. ;) It's just they arent as noticable on smaller bikes...

It's not bad if Dukan's bike is a guideline. His mileage is reading something around the 45k mark and the motor is strong through all the gears and with her shod on BT-01's she seems to have loads of grip left when putting her through the corners.

Admitedly she's a mates bike so I don't want to push it but I've gt laods of confidence in her.

The CB500 is certainly the best looking bike of the 3. 44k is a lot of miles, but if you do your maintenance on it it should be good.
