Well, tonight I was out riding, went to gas up in a station. Everything was ok, I gased up, went to exit the station and a car was coming in. Everything seemed ok, I went to stop and give the car right of way and then.... my shoe lace got caught on the gear lever...I got startled when my foot didn't hit the ground. I immediately knew I was going down, so I did my best with my right legg to lay down the bike. Fortunately, I was at a dead stop, so I was able to gently put it on it's side.
Nothing broke on myself or the bike (well, except for a slightly bruised ego). Nothing was bent and, as far as I can see, no scratches on my baby.
Lesson learned: GET A NEW PAIR OF RIDING BOOTS!!!
P.S. I'm amazed at how easy it was to pick up the bike!!! It was down on the ground maybe 5 seconds, but, once up I had to wait a couple of minutes so it would start. But it started and everything felt and looks ok.
