Why did that thread get locked? And who's swifty?

He said the thread title was 'inappropriate' and the link was broken. Well, neither are true. The link works fine, he just didn't look very well, and the title makes sense.

I locked it - not "Swifty". The last person to post isn't necessarily the one who locked it. He was just making a comment. I locked it because the link went to a general web page, not directly to the video itself. Since the video was no longer a motorcycle video (it turned into some boring video of a car following another car), there was no reason to leave the thread active. It would just confuse others. Folks don't like to dig around another website for one video clip.

Next time I'll mention why I'm locking something. But just so everyone knows, only moderators (and Mike of course) can lock threads.

Cheers,
Loonette

I'll stand up for Loonette, the link didn't work and the content was indeed inapproperate.

I give the authority to my moderators, my staff to delete, lock, move and even edit threads to keep the flow and goals of the site: friendly, useful and helpful for all.

That thread didn't follow the above goals so it's locked and gone.

Mike.
