2007 V Star 1300 TOO MUCH $$$$$$

#1 Unread post by MotoF150 »

The 2007 Yamaha V Star price starts at $10,599 to $12,299, thats too much $$$$ The Roadstar was selling for $8995 and the Honda VTX1800 was the same price.

I thought you could get a VTX1800 for $9000... at least according to your previous posts.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

That's too bad.

You can buy a Sportster 1200 for a bit less than that

im in the market for a new bike and I can't make up my mind what bike I want, I wanted the new V Star 1300 untill I seen the price, I also want a KTM 950 Adventure but they are $12K too, The Suzuki 1000 V Strom is nice but I hate Suzuki cause the M50 I own now let me down, no Honda Dealer has a 919 on stock, the Yamaha Roadstar is nice, but I want a water cooled bike, the FZ1 has that lean forward riding postion. I want a new bike thats fast, lightweight, good handling for less than $9000 and a type of bike nobody else owns. Any Ideas?

The Honda 599 is too small for the long distance ride thru the next 2 states. plus no Honda Dealer in the east coast of the US has one on stock to sell, its a California bike.

I had 3 different Honda Dealers tell me they never ordered any 599's or 919's cause they don't sell, and if I wanted one they can order me one by paying for it in advance. One Honda dealer told me the last time he had those bikes on stock he took a big loss in selling them, and hes not in the business of giving bikes away.

I can see that. There's a yellow 599 at my local Honda dealer that has been sitting on the floor for a year now.

My dealer had a 599 sitting all summer on his floor too. He did however sell fourteen Shadow Aero's in one season and half that many VTX's.
