Hey looking at the VRSCDX Night Rod 07 just wondering what you guys think of this bike i looked at one today in person looks kind of small but more comfortable than my Honda CBR 954 think i should trade??

he has a honda 954 and he wants to exchange it for a harley.

let's see... what could be reasons for it...

1. injuries
2. old age
3. he has too many sportbikes already

Yes, he does. To Verm, all non-sportbikes are either a pathway to or retirement from the "epitome" of riding, which is riding sportbikes. If you don't own one, you're either not good enough to yet or you lost your edge and need to "settle down".

nope not exactly...

i have nothing against those who chose cruiser over sportbikes to begin with.

but he already chose a sportbike and now wants to switch to a cruiser. so im wondering why.

but then again the OP did mention comfort so that maybe it... he wants a change of priorities i guess.

Who has the saying in their profile about owning a sportbike "If I didn't look like a monkey "procreating" a football, I'd own one."

Sportbikes are a fun ride, but they aren't the best for all around riding. They suck for touring and commuting and they generally have higher maintenance, fuel and insurance costs. Granted you aren't going to set speed or manuevering records with a cruiser, but it's a much nicer way to get around.

I'd much rather ride to work every day in a 550i than a Viper, you know? But I'd also rather drive the Viper at the track.

If I had any desire to race, I'd own a sportbike and race it at the track. I have no interest in racing, especially riding like a flippin brainless moron by doing 100+ mph on streets.

I just want to ride. I love riding my cruiser.

Sorry got off track earlier. I love that bike. Looks sweet and it does look a bit small but I've found that even big guys fit nicely on it. I can't say anything about how it rides b/c the 07's are supposed to be completely different in engine response but if their predecessors are any indication, they are a sweet ride.
