New bar what about bar ends?

So I put a new set of bars on my GS500 (bikemaster) and am I correct in assuming that the bar ends on the standard bars dont come out? i unscrewed the caps when I took off all the controls but the part where the end screws in doesnt exist on the new bars and didnt seem to come out on the old ones. I dono if its an expansion fitting and its just stuck in there really good but still comes out or is it permenently attactched. Is there any big negative to riding without bar ends other than vibration?

My GS bar ends are the expansion type and they come out. (mines a 91)
Maybe you need to persuade them a little more.

Thanks, I have a 91 also, I was attempting to pry them out but with no luck and I didnt want to bend the bolt.

I think bikemaster may sell barends themselves, maybe something to consider.
