Why do people buy race-replica bikes when they don't race?

A logical conclusion might be that they want to replicate racing. :laughing:

The same way that some guys buy Zondas and Ferraris which don't even come close to their performance on public roads?

Would I? Yeah theres a few I wouldn't mind getting my hands on.


But then I wear Combats, German Amry shirts and all sorts of other kit from Army Surplus despite only ever being an Air Cadet

I gotta say, anyone who chooses a bike primarily for image, chick-factor, or to "feel cool" should have their bike taken away and replaced with a Piaggio Vespa.
