Hi all,
I am looking for a motorcycle backpack that can carry a 15" laptop. I bought the Icon Squad Back pack, but that doesn't fit in my laptop. Any suggestions are welcome.
btw, my bike is a 2001 SV650S. I bought it used a couple of months back. I took the MSF course twice(one 4 years agon, and the last one b4 I bought the bike). ANd I whole-heartedly believe and feel that I made a very good decision on taking the course again.
Now, I just need to get a proper backpack to carry my laptop with me, when I go to school. I'd really appreciate any help on that.

Thanks
Kuntal

Do you want a backpack that you like, wear around your shoulders or are you wanting like verm posted?

Backpack

I ride to work every day with a laptop, a book, and my lunch (plus other paperwork if needed) with the backpack I used in college, that as I recall cost me $10 about 6 years ago.

This is how my laptop gets around: Roadgear Multitasker Sport (3rd row down on this page), can be used as a backpack, courier bag, or brief case.

This is the closest one to the one I have. But there's no way I'd pay $50 for it. Mine cost ten and has a little flap on the inside with a velcro thing to secure the laptop in the pouch and still has room for a lot more stuff.

Handy.

Personally, I wouldn't advocte a backpack that you wear, ever, while piloting a m/c. They can move, changing your centre of gravity. Be safe and get some saddlebags. :santa:

I'm not in favor of backpacks either. If I fall off the bike I don't want that lump attached to my spine. This can cause serious injury. Go for a tank bag or tail bag that converts to a backpack. Saddlebags work great, too.

Problem is, you don't want put a laptop in a tank bag or tail bag or anything in direct contact with the motorcycle. The vibration is no good for it. I'm not a big backpack person, my backpack mostly gets bungee'd to the seat.... unless the laptop is inside, then it goes on my back.
