Soo before I ask this im gonna say mainly the answer to this would be personal prefrence. But il ask it anyway.

What do you guys think best sport bike is? I dont mean the fastest or lightest or anything but the best all around sports bike for traveling around city and/or twisties.

I see ALOT of people with gixxers here.. actually just about ever other sports bike I see is a gixxer and I saw verm's bike and wanted one like it (yeah alot of you must hate me for sayin that) but I was curious about the CBR'S and R1's and all that jazz.. I dont see many ppl with those around here so i was just curious as for a 2nd bike what would be my best bet to get.. If I was to get a gixxer i certainly would look just like everone else and would have the same chance of it getting stolen.. but theres also "customizing" it so that doesnt happen, but im not to worried about it getting stolen.
But anyway im not looking into a 2nd bike anytime soon but im just curious what you guys think. I would like to test ride the CBR/R1/Gixxer before I made my statement

I got a Honda 599 for my second bike, I love it to death!

Most of the sport bikes in the same size range are pretty similar. I would try and find the one that is the most comfortable for you to ride. Some bikes are wider or taller than others.

I personally wouldn't get a 1000cc sport bike. The 600's and 750's would have more than enough power for me. Personally I like the R6 and the GSX-R600.

I live a few blocks from a motorcycle shop. I see a lot of people buying Honda CBR's and Suzuki GSX-R's.

CBR600F4i, YZF600R, ZZR-600, GSX 600 (katana). All full on sport bikes, with comfort to boot. That's the order in which i'd want one.

Though we don't recomend any of them for someone just learning to ride. Personally I'd have second thoughts about buying one even now.

Good point. If it's a first bike, i'd go with something more tame.
EX250/500/650 or SV650/S. Then there are various older and different styled bikes out there for beginers. The EX650R and SV650/S might be a little too much for some new riders, definatly take the MSF course before deciding on one.

Well, I love my fully faired SV1000S. The big SV is somewhere between a sportsbike, and a sports tourer. I wouldn't want a totally full-on sportsbike unless I was going to do regular track days. No point. The SV has tons of torque/accelleration - which is much more interesting on the road than a lot of top speed you can't use or a bottom end that makes it murder to ride round town on.

The SV does everything and does it amazingly well. It's good in town. It commutes comfortably. It tours brilliantly. It's great on the twisties. And it has enough thrill potential to keep me happy whenever I need it.

And with a set of aftermarket cans it sounds AWESOME!

Too bad they dropped that paint scheme for 2007. That red + black is awesome.

To get back to the original question. Out of the sport bikes you listed the honda CBR is the least comfortable.
