Does anybody know of a place on the internet where PDF or other types of motorcycle manuals can be downloaded? I'm trying to find a manual for a 1995 750 Nighthawk. Any guidance appreciated.

The one place I knew of, manualclub.com, appears to have been taken offline. This is no surprise, since the place was basically a copyright infringement warehouse.

eBay is the next best thing, but you have to pay actual money.

Are you looking for a repair manual? I've never seen a free one on the net. You can get a Clymer manual for $24 here :

http://www.amazon.com/Clymer-Honda-1991 ... 66?ie=UTF8

I bought one last year and they did an excellent job on it.

Yeah, so instead of getting copyrighted info off a site for free you have to buy the copyrighted info off a bozo on ebay that probably got it for free and is redistibuting it for a profit.

The best place to find a manual would be to find a Nighthawk site and ask around on their messageboard. The odds will be better there.

or go to helm

http://www.helminc.com/helm/homepage.asp?r=

might cost $40 but at least you will have OEM which in this case will be better than clymers or any others.

For $39 you can join the Honda Riders Club (HRCA) (on Honda.com).

They give you access to an online manual (specific to your model) and online access to the common service manual too.

There are other benefits (Free towing to the nearest Honda Dealer if you break down) and a bunch of other freebies.

Woth the price of admission.

Huh?

How is there anything wrong with buying a manual off eBay? Is the selling of books illegal now?

A LOT of the manuals on ebay are CDs that the user has made from pdfs that were downloaded or obtained illegally. Just distributing them is illegal even if they purchased an original copy. You are guilt-free if you purchase an actual book though.

Obviously that's against eBay policies. A quick search for "Nighthawk service manual" didn't turn up any of those.

I recommend buying the actual printed manuals FWIW ;)

yes printed manuals are better because they dont get screwed up when you go to print them out.
