Harley Road King Classic handlebars

I got my '06 RK classic on memorial Day and have had a great (but rainy) summer. I need to change the bars so they are closer to me and I dont have to reach as much. Anyone else ever get that pinched feeling in the back of your neck? I really want to put on the beach
bars- once rode a custom at York open house before I was a harley owner.
The dealer is pushing a heritage softail bar or road glide bar. Does anyone out there have any comments or experience in changing their Road King classic handebars?
While it may cost more to re-run cables with the beach bars, I am mostly concerned with comfort first. btw- I am about 5'10" tall. The bike has the standard seat
thanks
