Maybe I'm the last to know, but they are Chinese owned.
As you know, you should, as much as possible, NOT support the economy of a repressive regime.
Especially considering I just read they are harvesting organs from live Falun Gong prisoners.

While I agree with the principle, its virtually impossible NOT to buy something made in China/Indonesia/India/Bangladesh so on and so forth.
If anyone needs to buy tools, I hear Crafstman is Made in U.S.A.

Basically what Sev said.
I started boycotting Nike a long time ago when I learned of their exploitation of third world countries. Then everyone started doing it so I just gave up.
I still don't own any Nike crap but the point is that boycotts are useless. They never accomplish anything as no one ever does it or there's too many ties elsewhere.

I guess I better return half of the electronics I own.
Sorry dude, but economies are global like it or not, and the U.S. has preached globalization and free trade from day one of being a superpower. If we really practice what we preach, we should buy the best item at the best price and supposedly, it will all work out.
I recall a time when Japanese were the enemy, but many of us have no problem riding their bikes!

The Chinese just bought Benelli. They are still made in Italy. So buying a Benelli supports chinese investors, yes, but it also supports Italian workers. Just like buying a Toyota or a Honda supports American workers.
P.S. You must have a house full of nothing if you don't buy Chinese. Hope you don't own a laptop either ..

All these American politicians preaching globalization should be tried for treason.
But for those with poor reading comprehension, note that I said "as much as possible" as a nod to the fact that that country has its tentacles on almost everything these days.

Many of the japanese Bikes have outsourced engines and frames, and seats, and elecricial assemblies that are made in China, not all of the models, use parts from China but most, most of the Cruizer engine and frames are from China except most Honda models, the only engines that are made in Japan are the Yoshy Engines that are are on most crotch rockets and the bigger 4 stroke motocross bikes. Its too long to list but if you name a certain japanese Bike I can tell you where its made. Yes they have motorcycle factories in the US but thats just a final assembely point, most bike and atvs are shipped from China as fully assembleled engine and frame assemblies.
