Annual New Philadelphia competition Saturday

New Philadelphia High’s 31st annual field competition will be Saturday in the Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium beginning at 4. Gates will open at 2:30 and admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. Preschool children are free.
Bands scheduled to participate in the Ohio Music Education Assn.-sanctioned contest are Shenandoah, Fredericktown, Ridgewood, Claymont, Coshocton, Buckeye, Beaver Local, River View, Tallmadge, Nordonia, Marlington and Olentangy. Host New Philadelphia will perform in exhibition.
A 2007 Harley Davidson Street Bob motorcycle valued at approximately $15,000, to be awarded as a prize March 3 during the annual New Philadelphia High music marathon, will be on display. For more information, contact the New Philadelphia High music department at (330) 364-0651.
