Triumph 955i Daytona

I have been recently in the market for a new bike and i went to the Duc dealership yesterday, and lo and behold there was a nice 99 or 00 (i dont remember exactly the year) Daytona 955i in mint condition for sale. Guy said they wanted around $5500 for it, but it does have rather high mileage (40k). The bike runs and drives like new and the black widow untertail exhaust sounds AMAZING. I think if i do decide to buy the bike im going to offer him $4500 because of the year and the mileage. So has anyone had any experience on these bikes? I'd like to hear your opinions if you have any..thanks.
