I think I am in love with my ninja 250..
I have put 80 miles into it with Max speed of 70 MPH and Yes I have redlined it.
Its got a lot of Potential.. Pretty fast and accelerates well for a 250.
Now I have second thoughts about selling this bike for a bigger one.. I might keep this bike even if I get a 600/750
Does any one feel the same as me? about 250?

For sure silent, for sure!
I had a 2001 250 for the first season and sold it this season for the same price and got a 2006 250. Put 10,000 km on it. And if I ever get another bike, I'd love to keep the 250 too

I love mine. I think when I upgrade I am gonna keep her to ride and to teach my son on.
Yeah Cali dosn't have seasons. We can ride pretty much all year round out here. No winterizing the bike or saying its to cold. Just get a bit warmer gear and go.
Have a great one and ride safe

I'm also trying to decide if I'm going to keep it when/if I upgrade. It's a great bike, easy to work on (even for a non-mechanically inclined guy like me).
I envy those of you who don't have seasons (or at least, don't have the crappy ones). It is now sub 30 degrees on my commute...but I'm still riding!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...
Everyone who owns the Ninja 250 says the same thing. The only people who riddicule that bike are those who have never owned one.
Whenever someone says a Ninja 250 is "too small" and that a beginner will "get bored" or "outgrow" the bike, it is obvious that they know nothing about them. Those little bikes rock. I put 16,000 miles on one before I got a different bike.

Note, I am a major proponent of the ninja 250, and people riding them. My roommate's girlfriend just got one, and I have ridden them before... so this isn't an uninformed opinion.
The #1 thing I noticed is that the bike is basically overloaded with just me on it. I weigh about 230-240, and any time I touch the front brake, the bike nosedives. The bargain bin suspension isn't designed for larger people. Yes, you can ride it, and it is a really fun bike, but I honestly didn't feel safe riding the thing in a spirited fashion with the suspension bottoming out. Now, some stiffer springs or performance shocks might fix that, but it is just something I noticed.
I know there is the guy who is about my size on the forums that has the ninja 250... I am wondering if you have the same problems with yours. My friend's is an 06.

I will have to ask hubby if he has that problem. He is about 6'2 and around the same weight as you. I am no lightweight either and i don't notice it bottoming out. He rides her hard and slows down fast (well to me anyway)But then again mine is a 2004 maybe different suspension.
Have a great one and ride safe

I kept my 250 after buying my 600. I've decided that I will never sell the 250, though I may trade in the 600 sometime in the future. I'd much rather ride the smaller bike around town when doing errands than I would a large bike.
