Allriiight, i finally got a bike...
Maybe some of you happened to read my old posts about buying a bike soon... well i finally made it... I bought a 150cc dual purpose bike by a mexican brand called carabela, its called a dk150 and I love it! Today is tuesday, which means I received the bike from the dealer a week ago, but i havent been able to ride it much because of school and rowing (Yes I do both everyday). But i´ve still been able to take a few nice little rides near my house, which today amount up to about 55km. The other day I had my front left blinker go out. I got depressed haha...
Anyway I do have a question and its about checking the oil level on my bike. The thing is, once you´ve cleaned the little rod and put it back into the engine to check, are you supposed to screw it into its original position in order to check and then unscrew the thing and look? Or do you just push the rod down without screwing it on, then pull it out and look at the oil on it? I suppose its kind of important because the difference is about 1/4 of an inch.
Thanks to everyone on this site, its great!

Usually you don't screw it in all the way, but you'll have to check your manual to see if the bike is supposed leaned on the side stand, or if it's supposed to be level (like on the center stand).

Yeah check your manual as it'll state the proper procedure for checking your oil. On mine, you don't screw it down but it may be different for yours.

Congrats on your bike.

Yah don't screw it in. By screwing it in you're probably catching some oil from the sides or something.
