The world's most expensive bike - €100 000 MV Agusta

Information has leaked out that MV Agusta will build a limited run of 100 models of what they have labelled "the world's most expensive production motorcycle".

The dream bike, named the C.C. after Claudio Castiglioni since he dreamt it up one night, is set to be unveiled at the Milan EICMA show later this month.

Some kind PR person at MV Agusta decided to take some (decidedly poor quality) spy-shots of the bike and alas that's all we have at the moment. As soon as more images become available we will post them up.

The bike gets extremely high specifications such as a 1079cc engine built from scratch (not an F4 evolution).

This engine produces 141kW at the crankshaft whilst complying with Euro3. With MV Agusta titanium replacement mufflers the engine produces a sky-high 148kW.

The upper crankshaft has been heavily modified due to the use of a new oil-cooled generator. Conrods and pistons are new, lighter and lowered.

The cylinder block has also been lowered and the engine features 4 titanium radial valve heads.

MV Agusta has used titanium, magnesium and carbon fibre wherever possible and many of the engine components are hand built.

The bike has been limited to 315km/h and can do 320km/h without restrictions. But the tyres, that haven't been homologated for speeds in excess of 315km/h, will hold the bike back.

MV Agusta in Europe has already started taking orders for the bike and Wheels24 has not been able to confirm plans for shipment to South Africa. With a hefty price tag of €100 000 (around R939 000) you are unlikely to see this baby on the road either way.
