DIVAS RIDE FOR A CURE RAISES $25,000 FOR BREAST CANCER CHARITY
Monday, November 6, 2006 - Harley-Davidson Press Release

Jan Emanuel, Founder & President of Divas For A Cure, was also presented with the Honorary Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club colors for her humanitarian and charitable efforts, which exemplifies the spirit of the original Buffalo Soldiers.

The funds were raised this past summer on the Divas for a Cure Cross Country Breast Cancer Motorcycle Run in which bikers rode more than 8,500 miles promoting breast cancer awareness. The ride was led by Emanuel and members of the Buffalo Soldiers from each city on the route.

Divas For A Cure is a California Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation. It was founded by Jan Emanuel and is dedicated to promoting early detection, education, screenings and supporting research organizations to continue the quest to one day find a cure and eradicating cancers of all kinds. Proceeds from this ride will be dedicated towards the goal of health fairs and educational materials, wig donations for women enduring chemotherapy, and mobile breast exams into segments of society that do not ordinarily seek or receive medical attention due to socioeconomic conditions.
