Generic Motorcycle Covers

#1 Unread post by sparky »

I'm looking to get a motorcycle cover for my 2001 suzuki gsf1200, and I'm torn between a generic one, and the much more expensive one from suzuki. What experiences have you had with generic covers, and what brand would you recommend? Thanks

I got a generic cover for my bike for about $50. It repels rain just fine and it has the lining where the pipes go so I can put it on when they are warm. I saw much more expensive covers as well, I just can't imagine what else a cover would do for me. I'd buy generic and spend the money you save on another accessory for the bike itself!

Or wait until the Fred Meyer store has a 4 for $1 candy bar sale.

I bought the one Walmart has for $20. So far it's holding up but I've only had it for a couple of months. The sun will turn some covers into shreds in just a few months.

It's not the bike but the experience.

I got a Large motorcycle cover from walmart... wasnt quite big enough, so I went back and got the XL cover (think they just have large and XL) and it fit fine.

Try it out, it is only 20 bucks, and you can return it if it doesnt fit.
