...what kind of headphones do you wear?
I've been wearing the small kind that supposedly fit into your ear, but everytime I put on my helmet they get pulled out. There has to be some sort of solution that works better than these things.

I usually wear these:
However, when I'm riding, I use a set of modified Koss The Plug headphones:
They double as earplugs so you don't get hearing damage from not wearing eaplugs at speeds above 35 MPH.

Sony ear buds from Walmart. It takes some effort to get the helmet wide enough to not knock them out.

My jenson headphones fit right into the ear pockets of the helmet. They are in there when i put the helmet on.

i've had mixed success with the ear buds... sometimes they stay in and other times they fall out... i've been considering finding a pair that hands over the ears, similar to what logitech posted...
on the other hand, i've really enjoyed riding around listening to the environmental sounds...

Same here, but my commute is 90% interstate. Not too many environmental sounds there...
I have a pair like what logitech posted, but those ear plug/phones Skier posted look ideal.

If your helmet doesn't have nice big ear pockets, the earbuds that go behind the ear will become excruciating over time (the helmet mashes your ear around the hard plastic).
One thing that may help keep the earbuds from getting knocked out is to wear some sort of helmet liner. I've got both the pretty dorky looking Sliks liner:
AND several of these Buff thingies:

which in addition to keeping earplugs in, keep the helmet from mangling my ear piercings. They are also a lot easier to wash than the helmet liner so my helmet doesn't get skanky.

I've used these:
http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/Aer ... 18213.html
I stopped using them because after about an hour they'd hurt my ears because my helmet was so tight around my ears. I havnt tried them yet with my new nolan helmet but I have an feeling they'll work better because the helmet fits differently.
They are good and cheap, but the kind that double as ear plugs probably are better, if you can find a pair that are comfortable...
