'Tis very early indeed... just starting the rumble and ramble rather than working on other important things...
I think it was a good bet on character... but the opinions of everyone else make it out to be a long shot. The championship is about consistency and speed... and although Hopper is fast, and Kenny's motivation has likely dropped a lot after many years of sour results (whether bike or rider) it's a good inner-team challenge.
There are many one-time champs, who never come back to the top after years and silently fade away. Some people have said KR is a one-time wonder and fading... and your note that got me betting was this which follows what others have said to me, "Hopkins will beat Roberts Jr. He consistently has in the past. Roberts has been complaining about everyting since he won the title, while big-eared John quietly got faster..."

Not that there isn't truth in that statement, it's just that you can only get soooo fast before the bike becomes the limitation. i think Kenny hit that BIKE limitation even when the year he won the championship, while Hopper has just worked himself up to Kenny's level of riding... now we'll see what happens next!
Dreamin' for a Suzuki on the freakin podium... (alhtough just as much as I'd like to see a Kawi on the podium - MORE COMPETITION!)... it's sad for Suzuki that Ducati and Kawi appear to have pretty decent packages already, especially Ducati's bike/rider combos!)... but this thread is all about Team Suzuki!
