Heard a couple of rumors in regard to the Deuce. One is it will be revamped for '08; the other is is will be discontinued.. I know it's too early to confirm either from HD, but has anyone else heard this?

Havent heard anything. I work i a dealer and its been one of the worst selling models in the line up for the last two years. our dealer hasnt sold one in over a year. The FXDX was also a poor seller too and its gone. That was my favorite and i was about to buy one and the 2006 were coming out and i knew there where going to be big changes to the line up so i waited. then they dropped it. :'( That once large 160 in the back doesnt look so hot compared to the 200mm tires on the other softtails. either wouldnt suprise me for next year.

Yeah, it's been a poor seller at my local dealer also. I really am seriously considering buying one in the spring, because in my eyes, it is the best looking of the softails; the raked forks, stretched tanks, shotgun exhaust. That being said, I am reluctant to buy a model which may be discontinued-parts availability, etc. Typically does a discontinued model decrease or increase in value like the FXDX?

I bought a Deuce when they first came out in 2000. It was OK but when It came time to buy my next Harley I bought the Dyna FXDBI. I didn't even consider buying another Deuce. It wouldn't surprise me if Harley Davidson drop it from the line-up.
