Hey all. Looking at potential bikes right now its supposed to be good to get them in the winter they go for less apparently. I've looked around at pretty much all the "begginer bikes" and i think im pretty much settled on a ninja 500. I found a 1992 the other day talked to the guy and i could proabably get him down to about 2500 good deal?

Heres a picture of the bike.

$2500 for a '92 ninjette???

pass it up... the new ones sell for $3000.

you could get a used '06 for that price.

Depends, how much wear on the tires. What's the mileage. Has it been rode regularly, or sitting in a garage? Will it start, can it be rode safely. My advice is to buy a small bike to learn on, then move up if you survive.

Maybe 250s do, but MSRP on a new Ninja 500 is $5049.

Blue Book on a 92 Ninja 500 is $1640.

Blue Book on an 04 Ninja 500 is $3430.

98: $2665

oh... i thought it was a 250.

still... that's too much for a '92.

you can buy 2000 and up models for $2500 from private sellers.

K guys, thanks for the advice i think i would rather get a newer model anyways from what ive read they've improved after late 90's. How are the Bike Trader magazines good? i cant think of two many ways good for me to look at bikes, from private sellers.
