What papers do you need on you when riding?

This might be a stupid question but, do you need to have your insurance card, title and registration on you when you ride? In case I were to be involved in an accident or I get pulled over do I legally have to have them?
Also where do you keep your papers, if you do?

Do you keep them in your wallet or on your bike somewhere?

In my wallet. I wouldn't keep them on the bike because they would be too easy to steal.

I used to keep mine in a plastic sandwich bag under my seat.

Reqs here are title, registration, insurance, road tax, JCI and on base, the base sticker. We both have nifty little plastic ziplock-type envelopes that fit either in a tail bag or under the seat, depending on which bike we're on.

Since you're in AZ, I can tell you that CNF2002 is correct for this state. You need a drivers license with a motorcycle endorsement, registration and proof of insurance.

I leave the registration and insurance card in the locked compartment under my seat. The license stays in my wallet.

Keep the title in a safe place (not on the bike). That's what proves you own it.

Papers? I don't need no stinkin' papers!!!?

Registration and Insuarance card are the ones I carry. I keep them in the wallet at all times along with the truck papers.

License is in my wallet, which goes with me

registration and insurance are in a weatherproof tube tucked out of sight on the bike. The title here is the registration card. When selling a vehicle, the current registration holder signs the back of the card, and the purchaser takes that in to the registry office to get a new card issued in their name. Without the back of the card filled in, the vehicle can't be registered under a different name.

Don't need any on me, infact we are encouraged not to have such documantation on us because of the possibility the documents could be stolen.

But then the Police here will give you a document called a producer if you are pulled which gives you 7 days to attend a Police station with all the relevant documentation.

I believe the UK is unique in this.
