Employees give $24,000 to Good Samaritan Home

Seminole County -- Seminole County employees donated more than $24,000 to the Good Samaritan Home in Sanford in its annual charitable giving program. From May through November, county employees had 12 fundraisers, including a golf tournament and a motorcycle run.
An employee committee selected the Good Samaritan Home as the 2006 charity. The assisted living facility provides food, shelter and care to the disadvantaged, homeless and elderly. The Good Samaritan Home, which is in the Goldsboro community of Sanford, was founded in 1948.
