zuki rf900 shifter prob

the bike shifts into all gears great, but my problem is everytime i shift into second it drops into neuteral from second unless i hold the shifter up with my foot but as soon as i let off the shifter it will drop back into neuteral. is there any kind of adjustment i can make? thanks, scot

Sounds like the dogs on second gear have been chipped/worn. Probably from too many hard 1st to 2nd gear shifts. The only remedy is replacement, and that means splitting the cases and lots of time and/or money in labor.

More like a bent shift fork but same remedy as BUZZ mentioned above.
