Sliders

What are sliders? Is the expense really worth it?

They are bits of platic/metal that bolt to your bike to take the impact when you drop the bike and hopefully prevent damage to parts of the bike that are more pricey to repair.
Is the expense worth it? If you never crash or drop the bike, no, they are a waste of money. If you do drop it or have a small crash, they could save you quite a few pennies. If you crash REALLY bad, they won't matter.
