Anyone read why Vulcan 750 was dropped?

I was wonder if anyone read why Kawaski dropped out of the market for 750 or 800 cc bikes? Now they only offer a stripped 500cc or the very nice 900 cc which is a bit big for biggners.

Also does this make the used market for Vulcan 750's come down in price as compare to others of similar size?

Thanks, even for just opinions. I really liked the Vulcan 750.

There's a Vulcan 750 forum at http://www.vn750.com/, you can prowl around there looking for insight.

The way I see it, the 750 was a 20-year old design. Kawi's already invested in it's replacement, the VN 900. I can't see them sinking more money into upgrading a 20 year old midsize when they've got a new mid-size cruiser. Kawi seems to be going through one of its periodic shake-ups: end of the legacy Concours, a modest redesign (gasp!) to the KLR 650, the new VN 900 .......

As for size, the VN 900 isn't all that much heavier or more powerful than the 750. It's lighter than an 883 Sportster that some folks start on.

Yea, I also think they see the ninja 650r as the replacement of the 500r.

and +1 to the VN900

Yeah the VN750 was pretty long in the tooth. The VN900 is a very worthy replacement in my opinion.
