World’s Smartest Battery Chargers Behind Extreme Machines – CTEK™ “Big Toe” and “Little Toe”
CLEVELAND, OH – European-based CTEK Sweden AB has acquired two extreme motorcycles built by Swedish inventor Tom Wiberg. The first ever “monster bike” – the world’s tallest rideable motorcycle – dubbed “Big Toe” (as a tongue-in-cheek namesake for the famous “Big Foot” monster truck), and the world’s smallest rideable motorcycle, known as “Small Toe,” have arrived in North America and will be touring with the 2007-Model Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows® presented by Toyota beginning next month. Big Toe was the Guinness Book of World Records titleholder from 1999 through March 2006, reaching an amazing 7-1/2 feet tall and weighing in at 3,636 pounds. Powered by a 300HP Jaguar V-12 engine, Big Toe is completely driveable and can reach speeds up to 62 mph. This monster bike has a custom hydraulic suspension and support system along with a two-wheel hydraulic drive that the Discovery Channel® termed “black belt engineering.” When Big Toe is not moving around, its two 12V Exide® XL batteries are each connected to a CTEK MULTI US 3300 battery charger, just to make sure that it’s all charged up and ready to go.
Still the Guinness World Records holder, Small Toe is the smallest rideable motorcycle in the world with a front wheel diameter of .62 inches and rear wheel diameter of .86 inches. This extreme micro-machine has a wheelbase of 3.14 inches, a seat height of 2.55 inches and weighs just 2.4 pounds. Because of its radically small stature, special shoes are worn by the bike’s driver as Small Toe travels around at a top speed of 1.24 mph.
