Yeah, there was an article months ago about building that bike. At the end, they said there'd be a follow-up article with a road test, which I misinterpreted as coming soon. Months went by and no road test, so I figured Cycleworld had changed their minds or something....
I'm not sure who's the target market. Apparently it's not very easy to put together unless you have serious building skills, in which case I'd think you'd want to source the components yourself.

Got my February Cycleworld yesterday, now the story is clear. The kit bike is no longer a current product, the company making it (CCI) changed ownership. Cycleworld was forced to buy the bike instead of just holding it for evaluation, and they had a heck of a time getting it registered in California. Quite an amusing story actually, as long as it's happening to someone else.
