Brand new.. I have no issues with starting with a lightly powered bike, just wondering if anyone had any insight as to any problems i might face with this bike.

Thanks

The only way to really find out is to sit on it to see if it is too cramped for your frame. Some big guys have started on it and have been fine, but every body is different. Some are longer in the legs, some taller in the torso.

I am 6' 3" and I dont feel cramped on the ex250. As far as the power of the engine... it wont have any trouble getting you up to 100+mph. Will you have as much power on tap compaired with other motorcycles? No, but don't for a second think that riding a ex250 is like riding a 50cc scooter... the bike is still faster from 0-60 than most cars found on the road, and faster than alot of cars in the quarter mile too.

I would get a different bike. Your weight would max out the suspension, and it would not ride like it is supposed to.

Not true at all. Keep in mind, there are passenger pegs on that bike for a reason. My 250 has a carrying capacity of 345 pounds according to the manual. The EX250 is rated for 342 pounds. Just set the suspension to a stiffer setting and it will corner better than any other bike on the road.

Thanks for the reply's fellas.. I really love the price of the bike, and when i eventually upgrade it looks like i could prob sell it close to the price i bought it for. im well within the 342 lb limit of that bike. I plan to drop a few pounds in the near future also :)
