Posted on beginnerbikers.org. ((NOT mine, but so simple. (by Logan).))

You've seen Superman fly, right?

Stand up, extend your arms as you pretend you're flying around the room.

When you push your right hand forward/down you'll start flying to the right. Push your left hand, fly left.

That's basically it.

After flying around the house for awhile, get on your bike & give it a try

I've always thought of it this way:

If you're sitting on a bike, and someone yanks really hard to your left on the bottom of the front tire, which way do you fall?

Sorry, "No capes."

"All was well. Another day saved, when his CAPE snagged on a missle launcher.... Stratogail! April 23, '67, cape caught in a jet turbine... Metaman, express elevator. DynaGuy snag on takeoff, Splashdown, sucked into a vortex.

NO CAPES!" - Edna Mode

I wouldn't suggest the cape - have you seen The Incredibles?

"No cape!"

Well, we could always just settle for wearing our underware on the outside of our pants... problems solved.

I tried this first by flying around the house, then flying on the bike. It didn't work and now the bike is bent
