Motorcycle spec error or misunderstanding?

I was trying to compare two different 500 cc bikes, when I came across the description for the Vulcan 500E LTD. Located at http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcyc ... lassic.htm which specs the motor as a v-twin.

This is no big deal but I wanted to verifiy if someone familar with that bike could check and with a quick glance, verify if the rest of the specs seem in order.

Thank you for any help or addition sources of information.

well, THIS LINK shows a parallel engine bike but also lists it as a Vtwin.

and THIS LINK shows an 500 LTD in parallel as well as lists it as such.

If it were me, I'd hold judgement until I saw the bike in person

The Vulcan 500 has always been a parallel twin. It's a detuned version of the 500cc engine in the Ninja 500. Kawasaki's current specs:

Looks like a parallel twin to me.

That's what I thought but when a pic shows one thing and the word states another, I thought I'd check with the pro's here.

Thanks for the straight info.

Straight from the horse's mouth:

"Four stroke, DOHC, eight-valve parallel twin."
