Well I've been having some troubles getting the bike started. I can pull the air box back, shoot a little starting fluid in, then it starts. When it starts it idles and runs great, however i'm having to run the idle screws at about 1 1/2 turns out instead of 2 1/2. I'm I going to have to shell out the money and have them rebuilt? (I can do it, just don't want to have to pay for the kits)

Well actualy I can run the idle screws where they should be,and it runs fine, however still doesn't start. The choke valves on the carbs do not completely close, or seal, they are still cracked open quite a bit. However you cannot physically close the valves any farther there is like a stop point in the body of the carbs, it seems.

Choke valves? Do you mean the throttle butterflies? If so they have to allow some air to pass at all times..... you can't burn gas without oxygen.
